How?

Use a map of your focal area
Mark sites such as churches, temples, liquor stores, idols, houses of prostitution, crime areas, places of government, education, business, religion/culture, and community gatherings
Use a calendar to mark festivals/pilgrimmages
Use a timeline to note historical events, battles, community woundings, etc.
