Ethne is the Greek word for tribe, ethnic group, or people. The Ethne’ Movement gathers individuals, Churches & organizations every three years to focus on work amongst the least-reached people groups. The goal of the gathering is to celebrate progress, asses the status of work globally, and accelerate movements to Christ amongst the least-reached. The Fellowship of Prayer Strategists launched from the Ethne Prayer Workgroup.

Goals of the Fellowship of Prayer Strategists

• Regularly drawing near to God in prayer, worship and adoration both individually and as a team;
• Becoming aware of gaps and hinderances in reaching the Kingdom vision God has entrusted to them;
• Researching, envisioning and refining strategies for overcoming those with the Lord and the team;
• Maximizing strategic implementation of the team’s strategies particularly related to prayer; and,
• Periodically refining those strategies with the Lord and their team in times of prayer together.

Launched and continually connected to the Ethne Prayer Workgroup, the Fellowship of Prayer Strategists seeks to obey the Great Commission while following the Great Commandment and pursuing the Great Commitment to a lifestyle of unceasing prayer.

If you sense God drawing you to join hands to apply the indispensable key of prayer in finishing the task, you may find strength in the fellowship of others. The Fellowship of Prayer Strategists offers that connection to build relationships, learn from others and share your expertise.

What is a Prayer Strategist?

A strategists is someone skilled in planning the best way to gain advantage or achieve success. Thus, a ‘prayer strategist’ serves on a team and, in partnership with their team, seeks to set in motion extraordinary prayer that both informs and flows from the team’s vision and strategy.

Prayer as Conversation with God – The role of intimacy with God in igniting movements to Christ. Prayer as described and modeled in the Bible is a two-way conversation between the believer and God, guided and empowered by the Holy Spirit, through Jesus Christ.

Prayer Mobilization, Training, and Team Building -The role of partnership in prayer for our work, for
the workers, and for those we seek to serve.

Worship Warfare – Inviting God’s presence through engaging with God, proclaiming His will and exercising His authority.

Prayer Shield Teams – Intercessory teams connected to strengthen, effectiveness and fruitfulness with the
power of agreement.

R- Restore

Spiritual Mapping, Research, Information Strategies – Spirit-guided research into the supernatural to produce more informed, effective intercession and outreach.
Prayer as Ministry and Member Health – Personal and interpersonal restoration and transformation ministry through healing, deliverance, confession, forgiveness and repentance.
Prayer in Crisis Response – An ambassador in crisis that will identify and communicate spiritual dynamics for the personalization of targeted prayer, communicating updates and receiving encouragments from the wider prayer shield teams.
Identificational Repentance and Reconciliation – Healing wounds of the past through identifying with historical sins, thus weakening strongholds through repentance.

A – Advance

Strategic-level Spiritual Warfare – Talking authority over spiritual powers and strongholds hindering the advance of God’s kingdom.
Prayerwalking, Prayer Journeys – Moving prayer out of the church/home and into the community with praying onsite with insight.
Prayer and Power Evangelism – Communicating the gospel by praying, signs and wonders follow.
Prayer as Strategy – Envisioning the God-sized reality from His heart and co-laboring to pray it into being under His direction.
Fasting – Setting aside good things voluntarily to priortize the best things for His glory and the sake of His Kingdom. Fsating quiets the appetite by choosing to hunger and thirst for God alone.

Y – Yearn

Yearn for Our Bridegroom – These expressions of humility and dependence invite a response from God who “humbles the proud, but exalts the humble. Jesus is not coming back to “marry” a Church that’s indifferent to his return. He’s coming back for a Bride that’s “eagerly waiting” and desiring His return. The overriding reality is this: Christ will come again and his followers are to “long for and hasten” his coming (2 Peter 3:12).
Yearn for the Full Harvest – Yearning for the full measure of harvest as we join in His desire that none should perish but all should come to repentance. Our heart is His heart, the Shepherd who leaves the 99 for the 1 lost sheep that has strayed.
Yearn for Maturity – Yearning to reach the full measure of the stature of Jesus, so that we are a Bride prepared, without spot or wrinkle, equally yoked, prepared, a healper suitable to our Beloved, the Soon Coming King.
